I would suggest more subtle change. You might simply make sure that in addition to the colors being different, the brightness of the colors is also different. For example, instead of the purple for the player, make the background light-yellow (#ffffee) with dark text. That sort of thing. - Robert Kieffer

I like this idea; I think it's definitely worth implementing. I wonder if it would be annoying if you are randomly warped right next to someone else who also takes a bite, and then someone else takes a bite... The board isn't too crowded now but in future rounds there will probably be more players.

Excellent ideas regarding multiple players in one alliance and dissolving alliances immediately and over hours. In-alliance army transfers are unlikely to be added since this would encourage cheating with multiple accounts.

This is possible to implement with the new core; the hard part would be getting the interface right. Maybe we need tile coordinates or something.

SMS alert is not free to send, although IM messages may be possible... If you IM client makes a noise, that is easy enough.

True, it is not too hard, but from a CPU cost perspective it's not feasible for the server to calculate a new board for each player.
