I was thinking this for MySQL:

http://code.google.com/p/pymysql/

I had a look at its license and interpreted that it's free to distribute however you wish, though I may be wrong. It has a 2.5 and 2.6 versions too from what I've seen.

And this for MS-SQL (for those that use it):

http://pymssql.sourceforge.net/index.php

Though i'm not sure about the licensing. It could be useful for those who use MS-SQL though (Microsoft's alternative).

I'm definitely requesting the MySQL module that i've given the link to here though, it seems like an incredibly useful tool. I know licensing is an issue, so I won't get my hopes up too much.

Thanks for reading!

Don't we already have MySQL in Python? GlobalBan, RateMap, ClanTag, and a number of others use MySQL.
