The ref menu is pretty big.. it's hard to memorize all 3 pages of options.
They could be reduced in a number of ways.
They could be reduced in a number of ways.
- Dynamic start/stop/pause/unpause/etc. buttons instead of showing both options on there.
As in, if a period is running, only show the stop period / pause period buttons.
Only reason this hasn't been done is because of the complexity of the script with dynamic starting/stopping of things already.
So it may not work under all situations until someone can test them all. - Removing Start Period and Stop Period, since they're almost never used.
These were really just added because there was no absolute stopping of the timers and such from keeping on going.
But you shouldn't really have a reason to want to use them. It's stable enough to just do Start Match and let it go till it reaches max periods, and worst case scenario you could use pause.
If you just needed to stop 1 period and start it from the beginning again though, or you're canceling a scrim before it's finished, and don't want to have to set it back for normal play the long way, you need these functions. - Making the one time usage options into chat commands.
e.g. !startmatch and !resetref, they don't need to be there all the time.
The downside to this of course is having to remember the commands or what you've binded them to, and it's a little harder to teach newbies as opposed to telling them all they need to do is say !ref. - The second team setting method.
It could be changed to !setteams2 or removed altogether since the start match command already launches it.
