Similar to what TinyURL do, provide an alternative "preview" url.
Something like http://preview.ri.ms/<string> that, instead of a redirect, shows you a page with the target URL as a click able link. It's useful if you unsure of the link :)
Also if user accounts are implemented give the option to ALWAYS (regardless of the URL used) view the preview page (or always just go straight to the target)
