Store that password with the url. It can be used to lookup additional statistics about the URL in question.
What if we did something like this:
After they create the the rims url - on the success page, we could have a link that says 'Save this URL to my account so I can check stats' (better wording though!)
Then when they click that, it asks them to login/signup.
After that, we can allow them to log in to check stats on all of the urls they created. (just a thought)
